Anyone that bought Tacomas or Tundras in 2019 or early 2020 made out like bandits.

This will show my age, the prices for new trucks make me hope they ALL go out of business!!!  F’n ridiculous !  My only new truck was a 1989 Nissan 4x4, paid 10,500.  $216.00 a month.  My current truck is a 2006 gmc 2500hd duramax, bought it used in 2008 for around 34k.  I will never buy a new truck again, I know the prices will never be reasonable again, ever.

2021 6.6 I think was about $65k right when there weren’t any trucks available. Paid cash. Tows trailer, boat or camper like they’re not even there. Just hit 38k miles.

Right, in a year or so I’m going to buy a Tacoma used.👍

And I’m going to sand it down and Raptor liner spray the whole thing, don’t care if the paint is pristine. 🤣

Used Tacoma's are ridiculous as well.  Bought this 18 months ago so my boy would have a truck when he turned 16 (yesterday).  It was 25k with 115,000 miles.  Just got the lift on it yesterday.   Now I want to keep it.  :chuckle:

A little spoiled, though he will be paying for some of it.  We looked at beaters for the kids….the prices are so ridiculous, we couldn’t justify buying junk for those prices.  15k gets you absolute garbage when looking for a 4x4 rig.

He has been told….its the only one I’m helping to purchase.

The beaters I bought were under $2000.🤣

But we don’t get the winters you do.

I'm with you. New vehicle prices are insane

I've got a fleet of older reliable vehicles that are paid for and should see me through the rest of my life.

Last thing I want to do is own a vehicle that needs software updates.

Oh, and another thing...

It doesn't surprise me in the least that men on a hunting message board would BRAG about how much they spent on a pickup.

$93,000?...gasp

I’m not sure folks are bragging.  I wish trucks were priced like my 2006 ram 2500 manual.  I paid $30,711 dollars for that beast.  Wish I still had it!!

Reality is…..trucks cost more now than they did back in 2006.  Hell I was working for $13.50 an hour back then.   Now I make significantly more and am equally as poor.   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Trucks (especially diesel trucks) are expensive….   If you need one, you gotta pony up the cash.
