WHAT DID YOUR TRUCK COST NEW?

Hate to think how much they've gone up since I bought my first new vehicle in 1969 ( vw for 1900.00 new). Always wonder how so many can spend so much for a vehicle that is best suited for doing what is only about 5 percent of their actual driving milage ( off road hunting type driving) If you have to have one for work that's one thing, but spending that big money on a rig that's a terrible family or around town rig makes no sense to me. Have to chuckle when the gals in the office I checked in at would laugh and say " bigger the truck, smaller the p___s.

What's it mean if I drive a Subaru Crosstrek for my commuter?? 

Same here 2015 crosstrek daily and a 2021 Tacoma in the garage. Told my wife i can finally feel free to tell her I've been a Lesbian my whole life. 🤣

I've never bought a new truck, I thought $24k was a ton of money for the last used one I bought.  My first new vehicle was a boat which is probably even crazier.

Bought a 2019 F250 Lariet, fully loaded in the summer of 2019. Payed $59k, I remember thinking if I waited another 6 months I could have got the same truck for $54k. I feel like I got a steal

I’m going to guess we have at least 6  new super duties on our lot that are over $100k. I’ve pretty much resolved myself to the fact that I’ll never buy a new truck ever again.

All I know for sure is my wife's Subaru is better on snow and ice than any of the dozen 4X4's I've owned.

I really wish GMC would remake the 2006 duramax, the new ones have that 10 speed tranny that is known for a problem, the 2015-2019 has the cp4 issue, just stick with what works!!!

My last new one I bought was a 2020 GMC AT4 in Dec. 2019 which was just before covid and the crazy price of things.  When the price of trucks shot through the roof I said the same thing there is no freakin way I'll ever pay that kind of money for a truck but I also said I'd never own a diesel again too.  Not that this makes it ok because I still think these things are grossly over priced but the MSRP on the one I got a couple months ago was nearly 102K and I paid well under that and they gave me nearly what I paid for my 2020 for trade in.  I was actually surprised how much they were willing to "deal" but I also don't think these things are just flying off the lot right now so that worked in my favor too.

Ford Maverick XLT with AWD and tow package. $31,500.  Great for running around in and light off roading.  Consistent 30.5 mpg. Have my F 150 for heavier work

Identical config and trim as you with moon roof and spray in bed liner also 31,500.
Been awesome for roadtrips and around town, only new vehicle ever purchased.

At the time they were rolling out new for prices similar to used in competing vehicles. But did have to wait 9 months for delivery
