Alaska hunting guide busted for fraudulent practices
« on: August 29, 2025, 01:45:07 PM »
I can't imagine forking over thousands of dollars on a guided hunt, only to get a last-minute cancellation with no refund.  Glad the State of Alaska is hauling him to court for injunctive relief and restitution.  Hope they can get something back for the defrauded clients.

This has always been my contention with going on a guided hunt. Most people would call a guided trip as a "dream" or "once in a lifetime."  I get the whole "experience" thing in the hunting world. But if you're pay 10k and up, your brain is expecting success. Otherwise, you're paying 10k for a camping trip. At least thats how I see it. If I just wanting "an experience," I going camping in the backcountry during Sept without a tag in my pocket and have "an experience" with very little cost. Feel bad for those he screwed over
