High Mt Lakes above the 'Nooch
« on: June 26, 2009, 09:37:16 AM »
Just wondering if anyone fishes the mountain lakes above the Wynoochee reservoir??

I have fish Satsop Lakes and Spider Lake but looking more to fishing the hike in lakes.
Klone Lakes is the main area I'm looking for info on.

Haven't been there in about 10 years, the fish were always small. Its really thick around the lake also.
Hope it helps.

Do you remember the route you hiked.  I know you can get to it through a clear cut on the east side of the mountain.  But I have also been considering side hilling the mountain from the south side of the Three Peaks.

I went up threw the clear cut, but I doubt its a clear cut anymore  :)
Also the rode to the trail was  re-claimed a few years ago. Its a walk before you even get to the trail

Ya, I know about the road being reclaim.

Did you fish it with lures, worms, or fly fish.  I was thinking of packing my float tube in......you think it is worth it???

Really appreciate the info.

PM sent.

Also of note, someone Geocached the lake a few year back and a ton more folks were hiking in at the time, sort of ruined the place. I have not been in there in years though...
