Area 169 Wenaha

Wenaha 169 Buck muzzleloader
Have been up scouting couple of times, mostly the West side of the GMU. Looking for any additional advice on areas to try out. First time hunting in this area. Ready to do the work needed.
Thanks in advance!

Very few deer there in some of the roughest country our state has to offer. Not sure there are “good” areas to go. I’d backpack in for a few days and bring your glass.

And bring your bear tag!  It's the most beautiful country ever, but like Josh said, not many deer.  But you could stumble on a good one, if you find that needle in a haystack.

I’ve found a couple dandy mule deer sheds in there, make the best of it, you never know.  If you like a challenge and like steep country, you’ll have fun.

Some studs in those units. They can be truly ghost like though. Trail cams and Sheds are the only proof i have ever gotten of them. I hope you get a good one.
