Mountainhouse is tough to beat!

Eh, Peak, Pinnacle, Gastro Gnome, Heather's Choice and lots of other small companies make way better than mountain house.

I've got maybe 3 MH meals still and they're for the apocalypse.

King you are lucky that your dad can still do that with you at 72 years old, sounds like a great trip with your ol' man. Hopefully you guys knock one down during general!

Yeah I hope to be in that good of shape at his age... Seems like I'm fading way faster!!!
I love you... I really do...

I also got bit by a mosquito on the top of my hand in the middle of it on Buckskin Ridge... (Day #2) I smashed it... No big deal... Has happened 100's of times... My hand swelled up to wear I didn't have knuckles and it hurt to bend or move my fingers... The swelling has gone down now and the pain has stopped... But I've never had such a reaction before... Just the standard bump with itching...  :dunno:

You day hiked to buckskin ridge?!  I've hunted back in there but it's 7 miles to just get in that area ... That's a hell of a day hike, especially for a 72 year old!

I headed in to ALW for 3 days but one day was Saturday when it was raining, foggy and blowing 30...kind of a waste of a day.  Glasses up some does on the morning of day 3 but that was it.  Found an old camp in a seldom visited basin without a trail...curious if anyone has any stories.
