Utah...Big buck down
« on: September 13, 2025, 02:26:23 PM »
Was super fortunate to harvest a great buck on the evening of opening day on my Utah deer hunt.  Found the buck the evening prior, couldn't turn him up the next morning, but were able to find him that night.  Had to act fast and cover a bunch of ground to beat darkness, but was able to close the distance for a comfortable and easy 230-yard shot.

That’s a really nice buck, thanks for sharing. You going to keep the velvet on it?

Beautiful deer love those deep forks  so what’s the ticket to preserving the velvet? Salt or straight to the freezer or?

Assume it’s a CWMU, they get to set their own seasons
