It would also have to be frozen pretty cold, -4 for at least a week to kill any fluke carrying the bacteria that is harmful to dogs.  My upright doesn't get that cold but my chest freezer does.

I would keep it in case I ran out of better eggs and then throw it into crab or shrimp bait next year.

No way I'm spending my limited fishing time using subpar eggs. 

Now watch.....   you're gonna catch a 20 Lb. Steelhead on them.
