Grouse/kids outdoors
« on: September 24, 2025, 07:28:41 PM »
Hey y’all. I have my 7, 3 and 1.3 year old alone for a week. Looking to take them “hunting” from spanaway. Basically, get them out and drive roads with a vehicle that is not a truck lol. Going to bring a 20 gauge to call it hunting and just spend time outdoors. What’s the closest or good place to drive on decent gravel roads to get them out this weekend?

Thanks!

Elbe Hills... I've spent a lot of time here and never seen a grouse there though... FR 23 out of Randle would be better... I haven't spent much time here but seen grouse around the road... Capitol Forest is another option... Never seen a grouse there either... Only been there once hiking 6 miles and put about 60 miles on driving the sxs...
I love you... I really do...

Take them out towards the Wynoochie

Peoh Point, South Cle Elum. Might see some grouse. Then Red Arrow drive through in Cle Elum for the best corn dogs outside the Puyallup fair.
