Harvest data in WA has consistently went downhill, starting way before cell cams were available.

Harvest data is skewed. Hunters have figured out they prefer to pay a $10 no report fee than make their unit look better on paper for others to see

Pretty sure harvest data was also skewed long before mandatory/$10 fee requirement. Folks report diff than actual kill info, then, and now.
Maybe more so now, but impossible to prove.
Fact is deer numbers are way down, with that comes less harvest. no brainer

I am looking forward to the day I can just sit in my chair at home and hunt via drone or remote camera! Maybe even have a larger drone that will drop it at my house or the butcher shop, or a robot that will cut and wrap for me. That will be a wonderful hunting experience!

That's just plain lazy ...

If your going to drone hunt at least make the effort to drive to the gate or go camp somewhere.
You can still sit in your truck drinking coffee or stand around the fire at camp. But sitting at home.....that type of behavior leads to rule changes and more regulations.

It's not impossible to prove, I know guys that do it, it's factual. As far as deer numbers, I don't know what was around 15-20yrs ago, I just know I have no problem finding whitetail/blacktail bucks in WA. Either way, Cell cams bans won't help animals survive hunters.

I know the areas you look for whitetails and that is just plain sad what has happened up there. I quit hunting it 8 years ago as it was so wiped out by predation. I have friends that live up there and between us and our cams we estimated there is probably 80% loss in whitetail number from 20 years ago. Mule deer are not far off from that.
