Out tomorrow for the first time this year, hoping to bring a buck home for dinner.

Probably a great morning to go. I had one grunting at me this morning, been seeing more activity everyday. I’ve been getting new bucks on camera the last few nights, so they are definitely scent checking. Tiny spike chasing a nice 4x4 out of his turf as well.

There sure is a lot of nice blacktail bucks popping up on FB in the last 5 days or so! Hopefully those of you getting after it these next couple days find a toad!

I shot a 4x2 on Sunday and he stunk bad. Definitely was a rutting buck.

Went to where I shot my buck Saturday. There was an area about 300 yards from where I shot my buck that stunk so much it was unmistakable. There was definitely a rutting buck in the area but we didn't turn him up. We are going back after school and still hunt that whole area until dark.

Spent all day in the woods yesterday. Not one single deer. Came out for a few hours to re group and had this guy cross the road in front of me at noon.  :bash: They are out there, just gotta be in the right spot at the right time.

This guy was all rutted up. Caught him alone last night during a wind/rain storm coming up for a bite to eat.
