Going on day 3 of very suppressed deer activity. Saw a lot of deer and passed on smaller bucks over the weekend in the rain. Since Monday it’s been pretty dead. Bucks on trail cam still have pencil necks. The dinky yard bucks have been chasing. Need the switch to flip completely on. SW WA

This guy was all rutted up. Caught him alone last night during a wind/rain storm coming up for a bite to eat.

Nice buck! Did you weigh him?

Tried an area we've never been before today... First set this am rattling... Sat for 30 minutes and didn't see anything... Got up to get pack on and see a buck staring at me through the timber downhill about 60 yards... My Dad can't see him from his angle... He bounded away a few seconds later... If we would've sat 2 more minutes he may have came in to where my Dad could get a shot...  :dunno:  We make several more sets and nothing till the 7th one about 11am... I doe bleated and instantly get a grunt response about 75 yards in the timber... We sat tight for 40 minutes and never seen anything... No clue where he went... Found a nice rub line though... By the time we got back to the rig it was 2pm so we went to another area and drove roads till dark... Didn't see anything...
I love you... I really do...

Hunting 460….I have only seen does the last couple of days and no bucks….I have seen zero rubs and have hunted from 4000’ to 1800’.  All the does I have seen were down low.  I did see a bobcat kitten which was pretty cool…about the size of a football.

I saw two bucks Wednesday evening and 6 bucks yesterday. All from my tree stand. Bucks were bullying less dominant bucks around. The most dominant buck I saw, a three point,  had his hair up. They were definitely rutty. Best action was from 9-11 am. Wish I could hunt the morning today. Distance was 20-40 yds. They have started to cruise mid day too. Now if the buck I’ve been chasing would show up again. Going to have to harvest a meat buck, not much time left. I’m sitting in thick timber on timberland in Mason County. Lowland bucks. Good luck.

I've had a near identical experience as you in 460 this year. I've seen quite a few does and a bobcat, but I haven't laid eyes on a single antler yet.

I've got a late tag, so I've got a couple more weeks to make it happen...but tough hunting so far where I've been.

All my luck must go towards elk, cause these blacktails can kiss my rear end!!  I’m seeing rubs, tracks, I’ve sat, I’ve mostly walked real slow and quiet…. Haven’t seen a deer in two days, not even a doe!  I feel like an amateur, half day left, just ate my sandwich, we’ll see.
“In common with”..... not so much!!
