I can only comment on the XLR Element.  I picked up a magnesium element.  I was going for light weight.  I am quite happy with it.  Holds the barreled action securely, mags cycle fine, pretty light, nice little add-ons available.  Lead time was LONG (between 5 and 6 months I think).

Not cheap!

Will be swapping out the scope at some point.  just needed something on it to sight it in and do load testing.

Dang that looks good. I ordered mine a couple days ago, in tungsten grey. XLR currently has 300$ off a 1000$ purchase for Black Friday this week. Current lead time is 6-8 weeks. Looking forward to it!

That is a great lead time!  I ordered last Jan and it was a 20-25 week lead time.

Dang that’s a while! Yeah luckily much improved.

I have to make an edit tho, I referenced my confirmation email, it’s 6-10* weeks. Still not bad!

There places that have them in stock pretty frequently that can be had for not much more than the XLR Black Friday sale.   :twocents: I had one to my door in three days. Put it to work this week.

I happen to have and like both. The actual weights of both were just slightly heavier than my math indicated they should be. In folding configurations (both), the XLR with rider, thumb rest, added LOP shim and 3rnd PRC Hawkins mag hits 38.4oz. The HNT26 with the 1" LOP shim and the AICS metal PRC magazine hits 38.2oz. Can't go wrong with either, but I will mention a couple subtleties that I have noticed. The folding mechanism on the HNT is kind of a two-part process and, as newest to me, isn't really broke in so currently rather stiff. The XLR I find easier and quicker. For bench or hunting where the gun goes directly from being strapped on the pack to prone, the XLR is great. I like the thumb rest location and added length of pull for my longer arms. The HNT has a quick change LOP shim assembly (which is why I bought this for my daughter to shoot on her antelope hunt) is convenient. I also find this chassis much more comfortable to carry in hand for any length of time. Lastly, even though I purchased the Arca for end, I put a M-Lok bipod on it and unfortunately, after the barrel install. The lock didn't settle correct, and I ended up cutting into the carbon fiber. IF anyone is considering the folding option to carry IN their pack, be advised that a folded chassis took up WAY more room than I expected and now rides outside my pack. Hope this helps somebody.

Thanks. I actually ended up ordering the xlr through Viking armament this past week. Can’t imagine I’ll be unhappy with it but I guess we’ll see!
