Curlew Lake Fishing

The trout fishing slowed down the last couple days, I have been still fishing, I think I need to change over to night fishing or back to trolling at 30+ feet. Talked to the guy that runs the net pens yesterday and he said that out of the three pens two are 13' and one is 24' deep the two shallow ones are not doing well because the water is 70 degrees at the bottom of the pen. The water temp at 45' is still 55 degrees. I think this afternoon I'm going to go catch another 30 or 40 bass if the weather holds up, rained like you wouldn't believe yesterday. We had a 30" tree fall across the driveway last night that we where able to pull out of the way with a 3/4 ton truck, always nice to have in your way when you are coming back from town.

Teacherman, have you caught any of the tiger muskies? My cousin lives in republic and has caught some nice ones.

We fished yesterday morn in that first batch of rain.  What a mess.  Hit the rest of it on the way home headed towards Tonasket.  The night fishing seemed to be the ticket

I have seen a couple caught, one about 40" but I have not been able to get one to take my bait yet (I have got one 43" in Idaho in a small 20 acre pond outside Troy  ). The ones that people have been catching have been guys bass fishing. I was going to just cast plastics today but we have had some really nasty weather so I just went scouting for deer season, saw a couple really nice bucks.

I'm at a track camp this week be back up soon with more fishing and trail cam pics. The Saturday I get back is devoted to nother but fishing on Curlew lake, then the Sunday and Monday my buddy and I will be down at Rufus.

Just got back yesterday from a five day trip to the lake, caught literally hundreds of bass anything from 4" to 15", caught the biggest ones in Roberta, the night fishing for trout was incredible limits of 12-20" fish every night still fishing from a boat, the docks seemed slow although i did see one guy catch 2 off the dock that had to be 24"+ they looked like frickin' steelhead.  That place is awesome we already made reservations for next year now I need to talk the old lady into a boat.

I stayed at Fisherman's cove the 11,12,13 of July.  Caught some nice trout and I landed one musky that was 36 inches.  That is a mean fish...always have a fun time there.
