Trapline Taxidermy - wholehearted endorsement
« on: October 29, 2025, 12:11:50 AM »
Hi all.

I was fortunate enough to get a very special Mule Deer last year, and my wife (for the first time ever) suggested that I get it mounted and we display it in the house.

I've read so many horror stories about taxidermy nightmares on here over the years that I was really nervous about finding a good one.

Jackalope suggested Trapline Taxidermy based on the work they do for a friend of his.   I trust him, so I took his recommendation.

My experience with Tejay/Trapline Taxidermy was 100% positive!

I've never had taxidermy done before, so Tejay explained the process.

MY EXPERIENCE:
*  Pricing was clear and unambiguous.   No surprises.
*  Done on schedule (11 months quoted, 11 months delivered)
*  Communication was stellar
*  Quality of the work is terrific.   The buck looks absolutely wonderful.
*  Tejay made the entire process very low stress

I'll post a couple pics, but I'm a very poor photographer and the pics won't do justice to the quality of the work.

Thank you, Tejay, for running such a quality outfit.

I hope this review helps someone else in their decision making process.

Man, that mount turned out great!   :tup:

I second Tejay and Trapline. I have seen a lot of his work and currently have my 2025 moose with him getting worked on along with a lifesize wolf mount that I wasn't happy with that he is fixing. Stand up dude that I would highly recommend.
