One would have to lie filling out the salvage location data. This kinda reminds me of the Idaho Tcam thread where a post was made referencing slowly the gubernment is/will be turning many into "poachers"/illegal doings. FACT! Is it? I've never filled out a salvage tag before, so I don't know the stipulations. The law specifies the deer/elk must have been accidentally hit by a motor vehicle. Roger. Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks for the clarification. and there is a map where ya need to post location of vehicle struck deer. Been a few years, but I have done quite a few. I like the idea as a way to get a deadhead, just dont want to see someone get in trouble for not knowing salvage rules.
Well...this was suppose to be more about respect for other hunters who actually do value the 'trophy'...but the legalities of taking a deer head found in the woods is good too.
