Big old and heavy
« on: November 07, 2025, 07:46:26 PM »
With a quality deer permit in my pocket since spring I haven’t been able to think about much else but big ol stinky bucks. The wait felt like forever but here I am already, home and warm and dry and reminiscing my time in the mule deer mountains. I only wish it lasted longer because it took nearly a quarter century to get a late Wa tag. I didn’t have a number or specific antler configuration I was chasing but I did need to find a buck I felt was extremely mature before I was going to end my hunt. I was blessed to turn one up that not only checked that box but several boxes when it comes to a good muley buck. As it often seems to happen I killed at last light and spent the night solo and far from everything leaving me with not much for field photos, I apologize for that but here is my 25 buck.  *Green gross 172"
