Wasted Bethel bull

Found this one on the first Sunday of general elk. Hunting the little rattlesnake area. Found on the ledge below the ridge road. Shot a small bear 20' from him.

So someone shot a bear and a big bull in the same spot and left them?   What a waste.

So someone shot a bear and a big bull in the same spot and left them?   What a waste.

Not the way I read it.  He shot a bear (likely feeding on the carcass) of the elk (which we don't know how it died).

I shot the bear, didnt know the bull was there until I got to the bear.

Didn't look. Had a permit holder stop at our camp Tuesday morning asking about a way to get up above the rocks. Said Monday he heard shooting and seen some cows with a bull that looked shot headed up the rocks. Just assumed it was this bull.

Did you call DFW
Enforcement should have a list of permit holders .. couple quick calls could of solved the puzzle.
Otherwise it's poached or tribal.. I'm guessing either way they'd love to look into it.

Congrats on the bear Firepin.
Nice talkin with ya at your camp, i was the permit holder in the red Jeep and yeah that could be the bull i saw wounded Monday night,tough to tell but same general area for sure.
I woulda liked to find a 6point like that but got a 5 that we winched to truck whole so im not complaining.
If you're gonna be dumb,you gotta be tough.
