Wasted Bethel bull

Found this one on the first Sunday of general elk. Hunting the little rattlesnake area. Found on the ledge below the ridge road. Shot a small bear 20' from him.

Well, that’s sucks, I certainly wouldn’t leave that behind.    Yeah I know the law.   Congrats on the bear!

Not the way I read it.  He shot a bear (likely feeding on the carcass) of the elk (which we don't know how it died).

I shot the bear, didnt know the bull was there until I got to the bear.

Nothing had fed on the bull yet but smelled bad.

Didn't look. Had a permit holder stop at our camp Tuesday morning asking about a way to get up above the rocks. Said Monday he heard shooting and seen some cows with a bull that looked shot headed up the rocks. Just assumed it was this bull.
