how about whitetail?

188 2/8

My dad's deer from 1982.  Pend O'reille Co.

You should have that mounted.

Working on it.  I inherited several of his racks when he died and I am "taxidermying" my way through them.  I am currently working on a 154" buck that he shot in 1990.  The cape I bought didn't fit the form ($#@@! ebay...), so the project is on hold for now.  I want to do the one I posted last (when I am sure that I have done enough heads that I won't screw it up).  Also, to find a cape big enough that it won't look ridiculous is going to cost me some bucks.  I figure it will probably have to be at least a 23" cape.

Another nice buck taken by one of our hunters.....ya, I know what you're thinking...I wished it was mine too...good story though....a college kid killed it, the hunt was a college graduation present from his dad....we had spotted this buck at several different times, we were watching hard for him....the kid ended up getting it....really nice graduation present. :chuckle:

Those others were Idaho, these three were in one morning by 9AM in Montana. I am pretty sure the one on the left meets the minimum requirement for this thread. Again wished they were mine....but they belong to three of our hunters....all great guys....just hard working guys who save up to go hunting every year.

It's not my buck, one of our hunters killed it.

One day, when I grow up, I am going to shoot a deer like that....

Here is a nice buck my oldest daughter killed a couple years ago, I think he grossed well in the 180's...but I think only netted 173+ because his rack is not very typical.....she don't really care though....she killed it on wide open public land while hunting with her husband....helluva guy....he could have shot it but let her shoot it instead.....when she got up to it she got sick because it was so much bigger than any other buck she had shot.....the g-2's are over 13 inches.....I had the proud father thing going on over that one. She is going to have our first grandchild any day now....hopefully another hunter....

I almost forgot, this buck only had 3 1/2 year old teeth....he would have gotten bigger...

Here is pic of the same buck on the wall. Grossed in the 190's and net was 168". It is a WA buck. This is a nice site for us lowly WA hunters. I have been lurking on here for a couple years looking for hunting info and decided I better contribute something.
