CCW wants to send out a huge thank you to everyone who took the time this week to show up—whether to speak or simply to be present as a Washington sportsman—at the WDFW Commission meeting in Lynnwood.
It’s not easy to make the trip, rearrange your week, write testimony, or publicly stand up for your lifestyle. Many of you even gave up the final days of late buck season to be there. But you showed up anyway—braving the travel, making your voices heard, and standing firm for your traditions. You represented our community with integrity and showed exactly what hunters bring to the table: stewardship, conservation, and responsible management of Washington’s wildlife resources. We appreciate every one of you.
The turnout was outstanding, and we hope this level of engagement continues—and grows. The reality is that we’re living in a time when showing up matters more than ever. If we don’t defend our rights, opportunities, and role in conservation, the other side will show no mercy in trying to strip them away.
It’s to see the hunting community stepping up, becoming informed, getting involved and engaged in policy, and holding leadership accountable to science and to the legal mandates. This is the shift we’ve needed—and you’re the reason it’s happening.
Thank you for standing with us, and for standing up for wildlife, for conservation, and for our way of life. We hope to see you next time!
