Seekins PH3
« on: December 08, 2025, 12:43:54 PM »
Anybody have any experience with one of these, or Seekins Precision in general? Want to replace my 06’ which they don’t offer but would consider another caliber. How’s the accuracy if you have? Heard their customer service is top notch. Let’s hear the good and bad.

I bought a seeking PH3 7PRC 26 inch barrel. It’s deadly with 7mm PRC 175 gr ELD‑X Precision Hunter. Killed a 5 point bull in Idaho from 550 yards with it. Smoothe action, and you’re right the customer service is great get on the Seekins Facebook pages. Not a lot of negative things being said, and if there is an issue someone brings up glen seekins himself comments the solution or offers to replace the item.

2024 I needed an immediate solution for my 300WM problems. It was August, I had missed a bear at 200yds from a stable rest. INCONCEIVABLE!  Went to the range and it was shooting all over the place. I wanted an immediate solution. A friend chimed in with "PH2 6.5PRC with ELD-X. Shoots lasers". I emailed Seekins, asked them what ammo to use with it, they said it was made for factory ELD-X and ELD-M.

Turned out they were both right. It sped up about 100fps before settling down. Got a mule deer at 200+ yards last year with it, one shot of ELD-X, DRT.
Open range with windy conditions 300-800+ yards on 8" plates, worked out nicely.

About a month and half or two ago same friend got a call from a shop that wanted him to shoot a Seekins they took back in from a customer. Customer stated it didn't shoot. He took it out, multiple factory loads, just would not shoot good.

Everyone makes a dud at some point. Sometimes
we get fortunate and get the nearly perfect rifle.

They are excellent rifles and very accurate. I have a PH2 in 6.5 creedmoor I have taken a few deer with. It shoots the hornady precision hunter 143 ELDX exceptionally well. The action is smooth and the rifle is lightweight. I’m sure the PH3s are the same.

I own 2 elements 7prc and 300 prc. Both very accurate! Can shoot out to 850 with the 7 prc with the current turret and 1200 with the 300 prc. Both of my sons are very comfortable shooting both rifles out that far.

I bought a havak element in 7prc 1.5 years ago. Couldn't get anything to shoot good out of it, handloads and factory included. Sent it back to seekins and they confirmed something was off. Pretty good customer service. Did a full tune up and got it back to me. I can shoot about .75" groups good enough for me. Nightforce nx8 on top and berger 180s. Killed my spring bear at 670 yards (1 shot,). Elk at 509.( 1 shot) And buck at 300(2 shots :dunno:).

I get to pick mine up this weekend. If I were you I would strongly consider a tikka unless the seekins has a chambering that tikka doesn't offer. You can buy a tikka AND a quality optic for less than a ph3 bare rifle.

Good feedback so far. Leaning towards another Tikka but I find myself looking at the Seekins as well. Keep asking myself is it worth the extra $900 over the Tikka Rough Tech? Great to hear about the customer service, don’t get that a lot anymore these days. Just watched a video on their PH3 on YouTube with Glen Seekins, pretty innovative company and interesting on how and why they designed it the way they did.

I hear you on $900. That's a whole new suppressor.
If you don't need or want the features that the PH3 has compared to the Roughtech, then no, it's not worth it.

Definitely want to get a suppressor as well! I’ll probably end up going with a Tikka, love my veil wideland, was curious about the Seekins though. Going to wait till after Shot Show, heard a rumor that Tikka was going to announce certain models with Carbon Fiber barrels and stocks. I’d be more interested in the stocks myself. Hopefully it’s true!
