Idaho/Montana elk/deer lodges

I'm thinking of taking my son to week long trip to Idaho or Montana for elk/deer next year.  Do any of you have recommendations of places you have stayed or have ambitions to go to?  My son will be 15 and I'm trying to get as many memories with him as possible before he gets too old. Thanks.
