MIL if you don’t know or don’t care.
CDS is handy for hunting - if your rf doesnt work your buddy can give you range.
Each dial is good for couple thousand feet elevation.

I personally use moa but wish they were all Mil

Used them both but I prefer mil. Dealing smaller numbers and in tenths rather than quarters is just easier especially in the heat of the moment.

I switched from MOA to MILS and have been liking it. Dialing 3.2 is harder to mess up than 14.25. And no one is shooting the difference in precision of 0.1 MIL adjustments vs 0.25 MOA adjustments so that isn't a factor.

I use wind brackets but don't use quick drop. Rifle is too fast for it and I'm getting a solution from my rangefinder anyway.

I was MIL curious but never fully grasped why others preferred it until I listened to this.

Form is taking over huntwa now?!

I run all MOA, but only because that's what I've always run and don't want to mess with switching over all my rifles. If I had to do it again, I would go MIL.

Talk about missing the forest for the trees. Mils, MOA, whatever you are comfortable/competent with. But don’t use a Vortex (or a Leupold) on a hunting rifle. There’s the best advice you’ll get on this thread.

Know idea what this has to do with Idaho but I think what your trying to say is that whatever your “preferences” are should be respected by others because after all, everything is subjective right? Well, now that I think about it, you might be right, maybe we don’t buy into that in Idaho, maybe we believe in object truths. Lucky for everyone looking for a reliable hunting scope, objective data is actually available now and anyone can consume it and over and over and over again, vortex and Leupold scopes fail. I’m sure they identify as “good scopes” but objectively, they are not.

Pretty simple you show your location as Idaho so if you don't get that joke I can't help you. I'll just say the OP's question wasn't im looking for peoples "objective truths" it was "moa vs mrad and why?" Not insert condescending comment here. Hell you and I probably agree on luepold and vortex scopes but I didn't see where he asked about our thoughts on them either.
