Now you know how it feels to get punched by yourself :chuckle: I did this last year, what sucks is I double check my bow before I shoot and the d loop looked brand new. I got about half draw with my 85lbs draw bow and whappp,I saw stars for a minute and then I was fine. I feel your pain but I even had a laugh at myself after the stars went away.
If you want to make it,
you can't fake it,
you gotta live it.

I've got to say, a few minutes after it happened, I was laughing pretty hard and I still think that it is pretty funny.

I did the same thing about 6 years ago. But I didn't get a bloody nose!!! It sure hurt like hell thou. You need to learn to tie your own. It's very simple. I use two new one's a year. One in the spring and one just before hunting season. I also inspect them for wear. I carry spare string in my backpack just in case a repair is needed in the field. Good Luck. Bucklucky how did you run over your Bow?...........lol

Don't feel bad bucklucky.  I did that one time to my shotgun.  I leaned it up where the cab meet the bed (12 guage barrel fits perfectly there) and drove off.  Got to the next spot 20 minutes away and could not find my gun.  Drove 20 minutes back and there it was.  I drug that thing for about 100 feet before it came off where at that point I ran it over.  Like Ron White said "You can't fix stupid" :chuckle:

that sucks man. another funny story my cousin and i where at walmart pickin up our fishing licences last year and he pics up this bow from the shelf and he brings it to full draw. i told him not to dry fire it so he starts to let off. once he passed that let off point instead of his hand flying forward the bow came backward. the top cam hit him in the forehead and within seconds the was blood streaming down his face. i was laughing my f'n ass off. he didnt think it was to funny. i mean if i had that on film i would be a rich man now.

Sorry you had to go through that painful experience but don't be shy about learning to tie your own; they aren't that hard to figure out.  That way you can change it as often as you like and adjust the length of them (I tie my own because I like them much smaller than most).  Also don't forget to check for wear in the future.  A quick glance before each practice session should do the trick.

Yep, I agree with all said above, but we're laughing with you, not at you. :chuckle:  Anyone who has shot a release for very long has done it at least once, sometimes more, so we feel your pain.  Just tie your own and follow the directions on the website that's posted above.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.
