5 Golden Rings!
« on: December 25, 2025, 07:50:08 AM »
Merry Christmas!

This is my first post. I'm training my first bird dog and was looking for birds on craiglist. When I searched pheasants some golden ring necks popped up. Didn't think much until I just heard it christmas music being played. . Took me 50+ years to realise the whole song is about a bird hunter gifting their true love with their daily harvest.  I always picture a marching band with a bunch of scottish pipers in kilts, and drummer boys.. nope, sand pipers and grouse. Kind of bummed because I wanted to get my wife some maids o' milking this year.

Anyhow, ended up with more pigeons then I wanted. I think the grinchs in our HOA might hear them.

Mati says merry Christmas as well

More than you wanted but certainly not more than you will need. All good trainers say it take birds to make good bird dogs.

Welcome to the site, best of luck training the pup and don't be afraid to post a picture or 5 of the pup!

Mati is a field golden from Sky River. Above she is staring at our ducks. She's definatly into birds.
