Determining tripod value?
« on: Yesterday at 03:46:43 AM »
I've decided to sell my full size Swarovski carbon fiber tripod. I've gone go a light weight tripod and pan head.
It's 18-20 years old. The tripod itself is in perfect working order. The Swarovski pan head is a bit rough. There's cracks in the friction plates. Per a response from Swarovski, they're not that bad.
I'm not finding any listings to tell me what price might be fair.
I intend to show all pics. There will be no hidden issues.
Does anyone have a feel for how to price this tripod and pan head?
Thanks

If it were me I’d probably just give it away.  18-20 years is a long time. Probably not worth much. Maybe give it to a new hunter.

Another option, do an auction on Huntwa with good pics. But 18-20 years  you’ve got great use out of it.

Put it on ebay with no reserve and reasonable shipping and let the bidders decide the value.

What was the new retail value? How tall, how heavy? What model # is just the tripod without the head?

Swarovski tripods on eBay are huge money. What model is it?

I've got the aluminum model from several years ago.  They are solid.

Thanks for the ebay idea. The asking prices seem to be quite high.
Best I can tell, my tripod is a CT travel model. The head appears to be a DP101?
I'll try to post pictures from my phone later. I kinda struggle with this.
Thanks again
