scope for blackhawk

 I just pic up a ruger blakhawk 357 just would like to know if a guy could put a scope on one.

You can scope a blackhawk. Just need  some ruger rings and a scope.

so will it would have to be drilled ?  or do you use the rear sight.

I was thinking, The blackhawk I had was a hunters model and the others I have handled might have been too. I went to rugers website, it looks to me that the other models arr not set up to put rings on. I dont think you can put a scope on all of them with out some smithing. My old man has one on a super blackhawk 44, think its made by B-square? the rear is secured by the rear site screws, the front has a clamp that is secured around the snout. not very skookum, came loose too often so he scrapped it.

i never thought of putting a scope on that pistol ed , sounds like a good idea. im glad your having fun with it. took that 270 out and it shoots great, needs a recoil pad tho. i got her sighted in but youch  :yike: there is no give in that butt pad savage put on there
