Yakima/Ellensburg area bow shops...
« on: July 06, 2009, 09:59:15 PM »
Anyone know of any good bow shops in the Yakima or Ellensburg area?  I drew an archery elk tag in the area and want to be prepared with somewhere to go in case something funky should happen to my bow while I am hunting.

Grizzly Archery/ Owner is named Mike
3602 Fruitvale Blvd, Yakima WA 98902
(509) 575-5353

I've been to both shops and Mike is friendlier and knows more than the guy at AS&J and Grizzly Archery has way more stuff and better prices.  But, AS&J has better hours.

The guy at AS&J is a pretty good guy once you go in a couple of times and he starts to recognize you a bit.  I went to his 3d shoot a few weeks back and talked to him and he sort of loosened up after that.  His name is Brandon, I think.

He drew an elk tag and will probably be out during elk season - at least part of the time.  You might want to call down there and ask him.

Brandon-AS&J is open M-F 12 noon till 7 pm, Sat. 10 am-4 pm. But he hunts also so call ahead about 2-3 weeks to see what his hours will be during Elk season.
Mike-Grizzley is usually closed during elk season.
Both are nice guys, helpful, we try to give them equal bussiness.

Never been to grizzly archery, but Brandon at AS&J will do a great job if he is there. Been there during archery season and he usually has some one standing in running his shop.
