Half mount Black (Brown) bear (Charlies Taxidermy)
« on: July 07, 2009, 09:47:40 PM »
Here is a nice bear a buddy of mine killed last august. He had a storry and pictures posted . Anyway, I had alot of time into this dang bear, it took me 2 days to get it fitted right and mounted, I could have mounted a lifesize in that amount of time  :chuckle: Anyway enjoy the pics.

That's my favorite style of bear mount for sure, I like it a lot better than the full body and a lot better than the growling scary looking bears.  Great job!

That looks great! I want to do that if I get a nice one this year. How much does that cost?

Littlebuf, it depends on the size of bear to really compare. That half mount is $1200, a rug can range from 750 -1200 though.

so if i skin it out but dont cut up the front legs or to the chin then i could decide what i want when i bring it to you would be the best idea then

Case skin it would be best if you were bot sure what you wanted. I prefer the Half mounts skinned up the back so I dont have to mess with sewing up the armpits under the bear.
