To be that big he must have measurements like this:
44+44, 16+16, 15+15, 12+12, 10+10 = 194
It's just hard for me to believe this ram is 44" long and has 16" bases...
It would actually have to be larger than the above measurements because it netted 195 meaning there would have been deductions...

Popes right. To net 195 it would have to be over 200? It just doesn't look like a 200 inch Ram.
This Ram nets 195 5/8 official

As I said he WILL be in the next edition of Boone and Crocket record book at 195. I am a little surprised you can't see his mass, I am not a sheep guy and I thought it was something else. His measurements are 40, 17 1/2, 16, 15, 11 1/2, per side that's 200. If you don't believe me check the book when it comes out.

It is the pictures. I don't think they are flattering for the sheep. I see that he is massy but from those angles I would never guess 17.5" bases. Those are really big bases that you never see. Where was the ram from? Most sheep with bases that big don't have much of a space between their horns and this sheep does. Good scorers usually ask where the sheep came from before scoring. Most sheep from a herd will have similar characteristics regarding mass and length configuration.
It had to be the mass because it certainly isn't long at 40". I would love to see the kill photos for the sheep. It really takes multiple angles and/or video to really get a good feeling for how large some are. Doing it from pictures can be tough, especially mass. To get a good feeling for mass I prefer to wait until I get a back shot of the horns so I can see the shoulders on them. Cool ram.
Oh, like Slider said, we never said he wasn't that large. He just didn't look it from the pictures. That's why I asked you for the individual measurements. I wish we could have gotten a few more opinions from sheep guys on these pictures before the answer was revealed. It would be interesting.
I was looking on the B&C website and they have a similar type ram on there from Montana. This one scored 199 with 17 5/8th inch bases.

That's apples and oranges though. These are rocky rams. You shouldn't be looking at pictures of 195" rams prior to your cali hunt...lol.
