That is a good point but how many tapes at the end of the day do have in your pack? I use to think this way until my dad drew a toutle tag and we got on a bull, as we got him to come in at 23 yards the camera started to beep and then the screen said end of tape, what a hopeless feeling that was. We didn't have time to change out a tape. This will never happen with a 120 gigs of memory. I have had 5 of my son's football games and a whole season of scouting and hunting and still had a 100 gigs to spare.
The only thing about HD is the files are huge and you have to have a computer good enough to handle it. I had to go out and upgrade the computer as well but man, what a difference.
BTW,if a camera gets ran over by an atv it doesn't matter if it is a hard drive or a mini dv,it gonna be toast!
