smoked hams and canned bear is great

Get some breakfast / country sausage made.  Kilbasa, brats, bear sausage...it's all good.

I am curious, whatelse can you do with Bear meat?  Pepper sticks, Summer sausage and what else would you recommend?

Keep in mind, I have only shot one bear, but we made fajitas, stew, browned the chunks and served with breakefast, pan fried in some olive oil and served with dinner, and especially good shishkabab, all good. My wife and kids loved it alot and want more. August is soon.

What can't you do? Do you want the Forest Gump answer?

I can most of mine for sandwiches, french dip, shredded meat tacos and stew meat, etc. Roasts in the crock pot are a favorite and very easy. I also add leftover trimmings to my burger pile. Other sausages include breakfast, brawt style and smoked.

Yea, my August trip is all planned out!  This year I will kill my first bruin!  I seems like its pretty endless what to do withthe meat.  I only tasted sausage and sticks before, but that will change once August is here!  Thanks, Austrian

T&T John Tuss is the best around by far, but he is the most expensive also, and a long ways out of the way, but I still will only use him.  Hes is a great guy and sure can talk your ear off.

Summer sausage eh?  Gotta try it.  I have been smok'in 4.5# of ground bear w/1# of beef suet for an awesome, hot-smoked bear brat in hog casings.  The neighbors are feeding me fresh cooked crab as long as I bring them some bear brats that I smoked.  There's a lot of pleasure past pullin the trigger eh?
