Absolutely not.

As a seasoned bowhunter, I know darned well that I should only be taking Doe's and leaving all bucks for the rifle hunters. As bowmen, we all know that we have it really easy, and we should be sure to leave as much of the resource for rifle hunters. How would we feel if rifle hunters had first crack at all of the nice bucks? Just being as fair and honest as I can. God bless.

where we hunt if someone saw a buck like that it would be down in a heartbeat. Just becasue it's a legal buck. i would probably even shoot it. i know like 20 people that all shot deer around that size. some smaller

Looks like the buck I saw at work yesterday. It's to bad the GMU I work in is a permit only cuz I'd have it or bigger down as the sun came up opening morning.

Seeing as I'm new to big game I will take whatever legal animal presents the first shot, buck or doe.
God Bless,
Scott

If I had a good shot I would take him , never killed a Muley with my bow and my situation as a Taxidermist , I usually dont get much time to deer hunt anymore. THWACK, dead buck tag notched.

There is always a bigger one.  I like to hunt to much to kill one opening day.

Not to change the subject.  But I hunt for the hunt.  Horns and meat are just a bonus.  I would rather kill a little buck the last day of the season than a decent buck the first day.  I'll kill a big buck when ever I see him as long as the season is open.  Maybe I hunt for horns.  Hell I don't know anymore.

That's good for you!  I hunt all game and I love the hunt and the bonus.  I have never killed a buck that big so he would be my biggest and probably has the most meat too.  I would not shoot a doe or a spike the first day that's for sure.

Yep, I'd take him.  That would be my first buck, so it would be hard to pass up.  However, I completely understand why the seasoned hunter would though...
