Does a 2200 fit the bill?

I am looking at getting a new pack (obviously). I currently have a bright red REI pack which was actually something i bought for my wife  :rolleyes:

I want to be able to do mostly day trips, with the ability to pack out a deer etc. Also, possible overnight action. I am leaning towards the badlands 2200 and in AP camo.

Thanks for any insight guys

Can't speak to the camo, but I have hunted with a Badlands 2200 for several years and love it.  I have packed out three boned out deer, one trip out from the kill site.  All my pack contents go in one game bag, All the meat in another inside the main compartment.  Lash the equipment bag to the outside w/ the batwing flaps.  For a load like this (80-100lbs), you will be wishing for a wider, cushier shoulder strap, but that's my only complaint.  You can certainly pack enough for an overnighter.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I give the pack another yes vote. I have had mine for about a year now, have not had a chance to pack anything out in it yet though. I have taken it on many over nighters and even a 3-day trip. The bat wing design is not for everyone, get to a store and make sure that you like the way the pockets and stuff are situated. I find the design works great for my hunting and hiking needs.  Also if you have anything wrong with the pack or tear something Badlands has A+ service. I have delt with them and they had my pack back to me in a week.

Mines the 2009 model and there seems to be ample padding, I have up to 100 lbs in it for test loads and it felt ok other then being 100 lbs.
