Swarovski EL 8X32

Im going to get some new binos in the not to distant future and have looked at a lot of different ones. I own Nikon Superior E 8X32 right now and like them but they need to become backups. I have several friends with El 10X42 and like them but dont see the need for 10X and dont want the size or the extra weight. I have looked through the 8X32 a few times now and like them a lot. I would like some feed back if any of you own a pair.

I own a bunch of swarovski stuff and think the 10x42 are the best all around binocular on the market. I also have 15x56 slc which are great for the truck but too heavy for carrying on your neck all day. I have looked through plenty of 8x32, they are nice but have never been enough glass for areas I hunt. If you will be hunting open areas where you may be looking 500+ a lot, I would recommend 10x. If you are always in close quarters the 8x32 might work better for you. Good Luck, Any of the SWAROVSKY binos are great......

I have a few pairs of the EL's. Like bearpaw I think the 10X42 is the best all around bino for hunting. I also bought a pair of the 10X32 just to save a few ounces for backpack hunting. I would really hesitate to buy and 8 power bino.

Thanks bearpaw. I forgot to mention I own a 20-60X80 STS Swaro. I dont need the high power for that reason. I hunt both open and thick country and think if I can see a critter that is worth a second look I will take out the spotter or get closer.

One of best spotters out there too, good choice. You can count the ticks with that glass.

Your Superior E's are some of the best 'nocs out there.
The porro's have design advantages that you don't get with the roofs.
Not very waterproof.
Swaro's are my dream.
8X32 is a very convenient, useable size.
both my last pairs were that size.

I'm with Bearpaw the tiny bit of added weight is nothing, but the extra power is sure nice when glassing the open plains, the other big advantage is the larger objective in early morning and late evening. Go with the 10X42's
