I always show reverance by thanking the animal for giving me life whenever I harvest an animal.  I have a quiet moment.

Later back at deer camp I have a scotch with my hunting party.

My ritual usually starts with me undressing next to the animal while it is still fresh. Then I reach in my wallet for one of those paper protection things. I place it on the animal and then I give it one of the most penetrating hand jobs you can imagine. OK that is enough, I prepare to tag and gut it.

Ice cold beer after the game is dealt with.

Liver and onions for dinner that night.  :EAT:

Baked stuffed Heart as a treat before dinner the next night or so....more beer.

Thank god for a successful hunt and being allowed to enjoy the bounty.

Take a few pictures and get to work.  Either gutting and quartering or gutting and dragging.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

Try to get the animal out before the adrenaline wears off.  Otherwise it's like running out of spinach.   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Usually I suddenly realize that the truck is 5 miles away, uphill, I’m all alone and this is going to suck.

I always have a quiet moment of thanks, for the animal that is gave its life for me to eat, and for making a good clean kill.

Then I usually start looking around and cussing, when I realize I am deep in a canyon, and the nearest road is a mile straight up, or 3 miles the way I came.   :bash:   :chuckle:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

My thoughts are generally something to the effect of "Awww, CRAP, now I gotta haul this sumbitch outta this $&^%-Hole".
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice
