what is your favorite elk bugle?
« on: July 15, 2009, 10:02:30 AM »
what is your favorite elk bugle? I wore out my old one and it is time for a new one. It got me wondering what favorite bugles others have.

Primos tube with Abe and sons mouthpiece for locating, then switch to a diaphragm for close in work.

Bugling Bull Game Calls by Rocky Jacobson. Best grunt tube and by far the best reeds :twocents:

Homemade diaphragm calls, Jones' grunt tube
Jones Calls - Small, Medium & Large bull diaphragms, Persuader.
Primo's pack bugle
Glen Berry diaphragms

I mix 'em up and try to find just the right sound to excite bulls

Berry Thunder Bugle colapsable. Sounds good and easy to pack around. Call bulls into 35 and 30 yards the last two years for kill shots using it. I have had great success with it. :twocents:

ElkNut has some nice bugles. Good tones and dont have the plastic sound to them. Pretty light weight when compared to Rockys bugle.

I use a Powerbugle, but I have heard so many good things on this site about Elknut's calls I may have to get one before Sept.  Primos diaphrams for cow calling.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
