Interesting and/or Old Guns?

What do you have. How about a story to go with it and a pic. What is the current value? I'll go first.
I purchased this Rifle and Scope new in about 1980? It's a Weatherby Mark XXII. It also has a Weatherby 4x50 Scope that was an option at the time. It has a selector lever to shoot in single fire or semi-auto. Current value Cabelas and Gunbroker rifle only $600.00-$800.00. There is currently a scope on Gunbroker for $325.00.

I have a Remington Model 8 in .35 caliber. It was my grandpas old deer slayer and my first big caliber rifle.. The serial number dates it to 1908. I took her to English Pit a few weeks ago and put a couple of boxes of ammo through her. She shoots great. I got some decent groupings at fifty yards using the peep scope, my son did better than me though.

As far as the value, I've done some checking on various sites. I have the standard model (no checkering or etching and it isn't the police model with the 20 round magazine) so she's worth about $400 - 500.

This is an  octogon barrel .303 Savage.
My great, great uncle gave it to me for bringing him firewood all summer when I was 16. He bought it used in 1915.
Can't find any shells for it at a reasonable price now.

My dad had a .303 savage in a takedown, it's a cool little round.  Looks like a 30-30 with a longer neck.  Great for shooting heavy cast bullets.

cant find my camera so ill post pics later. i have my grandfathers old Winchester model 53 in 25-20. he bought it brand new in 1926, the model it self is not particularly rare but my grandfather ordered it directly from the factory when he was about 16 and he ordered it in stainless steal. it has the original peep site still intact and it is in great condition. ive never had it appraised but at a gun show i was talking with a Winchester guru and at first he didnt believe the riffle was actually stainless steal. he looked it up in his Winchester bible (what he called it) and he could only find one reference in the whole book to that riffle being offered in stainless and you had to order it ,stainless steal wont hold a bluing and at the time they blued every riffle including this one. with out looking at the riffle he said i had a museum piece i haven't found any one to appraise it if you guys know somebody that would give me a honest appraisal and not try to low ball it in hopes of buying it (id never sell) id sure like to see what its worth. i also have a 1906  Calvary issue piece maker 44-40 in a hand made holster that i haven't been able to document it yet but the style points to a very famous holster maker in the gun fighter days of south Texas, probably can never really know its origins tho

i've got an old side by side ithaca 12 gauge that belonged to my great grandfather.
i haven't done the research on it and don't know what year it is or what it's worth but its in immaculate shape and it'll never go anywhere, so not too concerned on it's value. it has "smokeless powder only" engraved on the barrel. i'll post up some pics when i can.

Littlebuf. The Gun Blue Book rates a blued model 53 Winchester that is 90 percent(very good condition) at $1700.00. Add 25% for a takedown model. The deluxe model with fancy pistol grip checkered wood in 90% condition is $3,650.00. No metion of a SS Model? You could check with the Winchester Museum in Cody Wyoming. It's 55 dollars I think? And they would need the serial#. A buddy has an Old single six in Nickle. Non nickle about 300-350. The nickle model is $2000.00!!! So about 6 times the money!!! Condition will matter a lot thou. i would say it's 90% the bluing is off because of the reason i mentioned in my post and is why Winchester didnt offer stainless models. i know its a special piece, its my most treasured riffle and it has nothing to do with monetary value

Ive got a double barrel shot gun..Says remington co on it  each piece has the serial number..doesnt say what gauge it is .but 12 gauge fits right..pat is oct 94  this is remingtons first hammerless shot gun,you had the choice of self unloading or mechanical unloading,this one is mechanical..the rib that runs down between the two barrels is broken,and a small piece of the stock is broke.would like to know how that came to be.

I have my dad's old Rem. 760 in .300 Sav.  It has a 5 digit serial # that dates it to the 1st year of manufacture.  I have refinished it, blue and wood, because it is a sentimental gun, not something worth a lot of money, as he shot the heck out of it, and killed a chit pot full of game.

Don't have a camera so can't post but, A B.S.A Martini action Australian Cadet Rifle,Re-chambered to .32-20, from .310. Sold my pre-'36 Savage .30-30 "Super Sporter". Various Mosin Nagants from 1896 on up.
