Took an old rifle in the other day to see about pricing and they will (on a good day) give you no more than 70% of the retail value. At least that's what the old feller told me. There is a younger guy that works in there that will nickel and dime you big time. I brought in an old Winchester 12 gauge from the early 40's (estimated value $450) and he said he would only give me $75. When I asked him how that is considering he was selling the same shotgun for $325 which is in far worse condition than mine he replied with "that must be some mistake I would never...." I interupted him and said "be caught ripping people off? He smirked and shrugged his shoulders. If you're looking to get a good value out of your rifle, shotgun, or pistol take it to one of your local gun shops who isn't there to rip off your average joe. just my thoughts on Cabelas.
Some animals WERE harmed in the making of this Hunter. They were also dragged through the dirt, butchered and tasted delicious fried with butter and bacon.

I don't have anything interesting, but a friend of mine, has an origenal Sharps Buffalo Rifle from the 1860's.  He also knows all the histroy on it.  Pretty cool.
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!

you hit the nail on the head, and their used guns are a joke.  i'm not gonna pay $500 for a beat up mid 80s remington 700BDL!
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

not sure why anybody would want to sell guns to a gun shop unless they were hurting for money. it's just like trading in a car. the gun shop owners are in the business to make money, so why would one expect to get $400.00 for a gun if it was worth $400 retail.
