I know what I would do, how about you guys? You can see him better in my video, but I don't know how to load it. He's a 3x4 now, and looks like he'll be a 4x4 soon.

Definitely a shooter with my bow, I rifle hunted last year for the first time in years and passed a few bucks in that class and ate my tag, regretted it all year.  :bash:

I think he is about done growing. He is a definite shooter with a bow and you may kick yourself at the end of rifle season. Charlies right. Damned if you do, damned if you don't so you may as well be damned with his butt in the freezer. If he is on public land.....BOOM!

with your multi season tag id pass on him for a while and try to keep tabs on him. if you start getting pressed for time with your new job then take him. that is certainly a shooter deer

I found a couple more tonight that had deeper forks. A 3x3 and a 3x4. They were taller, but not as wide. I got video of them too, and as soon as I can figure out how to upload it, I'll put it on here.

Yeah, I know you'd pass, G.R.K., but you're picky.

The best way to load video is to upload them onto YouTube then post them onto the website.

IMHO...It depends on where the buck is at?? Private land where he can grow....genetics in the area, will he grow?? open land for anybody??

Horns are inside his ears by a couple of inches....go about 110" just a guess.
I have several on the wall larger so I would pass.

It is hard to tell from the pics, due to nothing to compare to, but his body is massive. He looked like a mule deer. My partner and I both agreed that he is at least 20" wide. We watched him and discected him for over 30 minutes. His 3rd and 4th points may be short and a little crab clawed when he finishes growing and sheds his velvet, but due to sheer size of this animal, his rack doesn't look as big as it actually is, especially for a blacktail. That is why I posted, because judging by his body and ears, he doesn't look that great, but seeing him in person, he is a lot bigger than he looks on camera. Thanks for posting everyone, I dought that I will shoot him, because I've only seen him the one time, and there are bigger bucks in the area, but I would given the opportunity.

I have a 3 point curse and cant find a buck during season with more then 3 points on a side. If he has a fourth point on one side I'd kill him, even first light of the first day.

Always use the saying, "Dont pass anything the first day that you would kill on the last."  Four point blacktail deer are not extremely common and would kill any 4 x 4 any day of the season.

That buck is 16 or 17 inches wide and with no eyeguards would be lucky to break 100 inches. They look a lot bigger in the velvet.

Just the size of the body on that buck would be enough for me. I wouldn't care if he was only a 2 point. Can't eat the antlers anyway.
