Why would you put in for a tag that you know absolutely nothing about? Now I might understand if someone said "Hey put in for this, it's got some smoker bucks, and I know it like the back of my hand. It'll be a slam dunk". How many points did you lose for the draw? I hope it wsn't a lot, and I wish that I could help you out. Give the biologist for that area a call, that would be a great place to start.

Two points I do know about the area/hunt: (1) there are several general hunts in 6020 before the tag hunt (check the regs); (2) much/nearly all of the land is private, so getting access will be critical.

Your best bet may be with someone's grandma, who is absolutely pissed about that big buck that keeps eating her prized flowers. LOL

Hey I have a question.  I drew a tag for unit 290.  Does anyone know anything about it?  Is it even worth my time? :dunno:

I live in that unit and it is open for any deer for all three weapon choices both early and late, I don't know why anyone would even put in for it since it's all private except the Dungeness rec area and that place sucks to hunt with all the tourists honking and yelling at you all day and I don't even think it's open in January so you got me, too bad you wasted your points on that one !!
