arrow length
« on: July 19, 2009, 09:18:26 PM »
My draw length is at 29in and my arrows were cut to about 28 3/4 is this gonna cause a problem. They shoot fine even with broadheads. But I have read some posts on here saying that you should be a 1/2 in to an inch longer than your draw, so I was just wondering if im totally screwed?

no you are fine...most the time arrows are cut 1" under draw length...the draw length in measured at full draw, from the string to the back of the grip plus 1.75" in front of the riser thayt is AMO draw.

It should be fine, not my preference as I like them to be cut at the front of the riser.  That keeps the broadheads from being anywhere close to the riser of your bow, as some have odd centershots which could get that broadhead too close.  Hope that makes sense to you.

Mine are 1" less than my draw.  I could cut my fingers if I hold them up when I draw, but it'd take 34" arrows to get out past my fingers, so I just don't put them up when I draw back... problem solved.
