Ok, sorry for the crap video quality, but the bear was about 250 yards off and I am using a hand help digital and I was calling, filming and looking through binos all at once.

. Let me set the scene for ya....
I hiked out to a point that over looks two clearcut gulleys, like a U shape. I hop up on a log, notice that the log I am on has been very freshly torn into. Sure enough, a bear 20 yards below me, grunting and shaking a tree....not being to loud, but feeding.
I pull out my camera and call quietly, then louder, etc....I think this will be great video!
Doesnt show up. Doesnt stand up, only melts away into oblivion, not to be seen again. If you've ever had this happen, you know what I am talking about.... I sigh. I wait bout 5 mins or so...gone...
I turn around and sit, glass the ridge behind me (that I had previously glassed in the afternoon). BEAR! Staring right down at me, about 250 yards off, standing on a stump!
I grab my call and let loose...hence the video.
Black bear called in on ridgetop. After he comes down the ridge, I try to close the distance while he is busy walking...so I move along the gravel road and up and down three deep ditches. He was basically making a B line for me...until....
Like a man who gets distracted by a pretty girl, this bear runs into a large, tall, very full hucklyberry bush and stops, and pursues to go to town on it. He is now, just above a smaller ridge....I think I can get him to commit further, so I move a bit closer (now out of sight of the bear). If he just pops over that ledge, he will be bout 100 yards...
but he never does. He continues to feed (so I can hear) and I didnt see him again....
Better luck next time. Looked to be a decent size boar.
