My apologies to billy cowboy and even jakelope,
But I stand by the fact that I only told you what I had been told and until archery288 got his chance to defend himself we should give him the benefit of the doubt. He has and I stand corrected I can see how you came to your conclusion and maybe I will have to come to the meet and greet and buy you a beer :brew: just for putting up with me!

Not my partner ... just a guy I met who I enjoyed talking to and I have just gotten back in touch with him through this site.

And like I said he was certain he got those off his trail cam and I had no reason not to believe him ... his story seems to makes sense.

Thanks for coming on Archery288.  I was beginning to think I was standing up for the wrong guy and that Mray was taking heat for nothing.  All had legitemate aurguments and it wasn't looking good for you.  Sorry those boys got the best of you.  I think I'd be issuing an ass kickin'.  Still a damn cool buck and glad to see his pics.  I hope he spread some of his genes around, and likely you might have a crack at an ancestor.  Thanks for posting up.

I feel bad for the guy but you all have to admit it was a pretty good prank.  I know I got a good laugh out of it.......... :chuckle:
But the story would be different if it happened to me.

Well archery 288, I hope you aren't BSing, because it would be the first time on this site, and I am going to be niave enough to take you for your word.  I would hate for this place to turn out like MM.  Congrats on your picture of one of the most incredible blackies that is roaming around out there.  I hope to see his sheds on here in about 2 months with either your name or mine attached to it. ; )
Glad it turned out the way it did. I also would hate to see this site turn out like MM.

No problem M_ray appologies accepted. We all are just a bunch of hunters looking to pass the time till we are outdoors. Time to just understand that this website is a place to share info, have a good time, not get too worked up and not take the joking seriously. :camp:

So the pics have gotten me to wondering a couple things.
1. where did I get them
2. who took them and where

After posting on a couple sites I got a little feedback.
I apparently copied them from Jesses hunting board. I haven't been there in years.
But I got wind that they came from a friend of a friend and where taken on the OP. Then today I got a post from the guy who posted them. Here is his response.

Quote
The pictures of that Blacktail buck were taken by a friend of mine in the Olympic forest with a hand held camera 4 years ago. He didn't tell me the exact location for some reason LOL but as far as I know it is still alive. I'm sure if he ever got it I would know.

I think I posted it on Jesses hunting page or Hags site. The pictures shown were scanned from regular 4x6 photos and I reduced the quality to show on the internet. He took 3 photos and I see all have been shown.

Thanks for the updae Billy.  He has probablylong since been reduced to cougar scat, but hopefully he spread his genes all up and down the olympics.
