There were guys in there with kids during the youth hunt. Left their boat in the big new parking lot and walked in to where they saw ducks working. Looks mostly the same from the parking lot, just remember that it is now TIDAL. Don't get stuck in a low spot with a incoming tide, ain't going to be any boats coming by for a rescue.

The walking trail that everyone used to acess the unit is now the new dike.  Anything to the left is all tidal.  Bring a life jacket incase you have to slip out of your waders from getting stuck in the muck and swim back to shore.

Looks like we have a little bit of scouting to do. hope this brings in some geese this year. We should go this sunday about 1 ish is high tide at about 11 ft and then it goes to about a about a 7 foot tide at about 6pm we'll bring the dogs let them get excited about the hunting season and hopefully get Rane a little more behaved in the blinds

If you have aqua pods, marsh rats or poke boats you may have some good hunts when the tides are in.  The birds seem to be liking the set up.  Lots of ducks during high tide today.

Refresh my memory, but Wylie slough is off the side of 20 between Anacortes and Burlington, correct?  If so, not so much a goose spot, but very ducky early, and late in the season...and be careful with the tides, the water depth goes from wade-able to oh-my-god that *censored* is cold, really fast...

What is the name of the WDFW site on 20 near the twin bridges, tween Anacortes and Burlington, just east of the cap sante marina?

That'd be Telegraph Slough, on Hwy 20. To answer the previous poster's question
