I spoke with three different hunting parties this weekend and NONE of them knew cougar was archery only.  You can almost bet someone is going to bag a lion and not realize the season has been changed.

You mean year round or just during archery season deer and elk?

I mean right now it's archery only, not like in years past which was any weapon come 1 Sep.

Yep, can't kill cougar with a rifle until Oct 17.

i cant tell you how many guys looked at me like i have two heads this year when i tell them about how fu%$(d up cougar season is this year. i guess folks dont read the regs
