For the price of the build, if you are looking for a deer rifle (that you might use for elk)  I would look at a savage bolt gun if you want the lower price.  If your willing to pay 6-800 I would look at one of the new Winchesters in stainless.

On a side note I got to shoot one of the new Winchesters in 270 wsm the other day.  I have to say it has proably the nicest factory trigger I have ever shot out of the box.

I want to do the AR build. . .I want a semi-auto (faster follow-up shot if I miss a coyote). . .

. . .price isn't the issue. . .I already started off on the wrong foot there by buying a billet receiver set instead of buying the cheaper forged units. . .

. . .this will be a top of the line all-purpose AR for hunting pretty much everything up to elk. . .be nice to take down to Texas to my GF's papa's place and shoot some pigs with it too. . .I hear the 6.8 is an awesome hog caliber especially in the AR platform.

Here is a link that allows you to design your own AR.  It comes as a kit, which means it has everything except the lower reciever.  Thought you might find the info usefull.

There's a reason they call it hunting, not killing.

Just got info from a client of mine that built a 30-30 AR? and it weighed in at 7 pounds with scope and sling, unloaded. So that is pretty good.

you can build a 30 Remington AR....been looking into that...its like a 30-30 ballistics
A Smith & Wesson Beats Four Aces.

Whatta ya mean I can't have one of each?

What we have here is...Washington Department of NO Fish and WATCHABLE Wildlife.

WDFW is going farther and farther backwards....we need FISH AND GAME back!
