Rick I just went to where I bear hunt here on the coast and it;s owned by green diamond and they closed it due to extreme fire danger. I don;t know where your going but check and see down here some other logging outfits are closing there access gates to any moterized traffic and it;s hot here in grayland today.

Rick my boy just got home from bristol bay he had some good bear stories. The other boat they fish with anchored up for the night and set the anchor but did;nt put the dog on thats a thing that keeps the anchor from going out. Anyway the boat drifted up on a mud flat on the highest tide and went aground. They had 7000 pounds of fish on and had to throw it overboard and for the next 5 days a dozen brown bears stayed under the boat. They had helicopters trying to tow them out but finally a big king crabber finally got them back to the water. The bears were crawling on the boat and looking in the windows they were scared big time. Anyway here are some phone pictures they took through the windows. He said he will get better pictures later.

 :yike:

I have had reoccurring nightmares about bears for years that are very similar to those pictures.  I am always in a car or a house or trying to get to one and bears are trying to get me.  Its funny because I am never scared of bears when I am in the woods.   :dunno:

One thing that hasn't been said about hot weather hunting is the live body temp of a bear. Once you kill a bear and gut it, it's already cooling down to the outside temp. I'm not saying take your time, but you do have time.
