I was hammering on it for sure. Had something coming in at about fifty yards in the brush and it froze on one of my blasts :chuckle: (no fault to Bearmanric, just over kill maybe???) Got it fixed and ready for the next go.Mark

No such thing as overkill.   :chuckle:

I was wondering if any of you would still be willing to teach a few tricks of the trade. I'm in Ft Lewis area and more than happy to drive a little ways.  I have everything I need except for maybe a lack of tactics.  I was up in the lewis river area this past weekend but didn't find much for bear sign. Lots of deer and elk though. Well anyhow let me know and we can see what happens.

adam.WI your more then welcome to hunt with me anytime.  I'll probably head back over towards Ellensburg before the end of the month.  If your not available your more then welcome to tag along when I go up NE WA, although I know that is a long drive for you.

I'm interested in learning more about these calls. Can someone clue me in on this?

By the way, pretty awesome show of sportsmanship, I'm humbled by the willingness to help and teach based on a posted internet thread.

One of my partners just got back from scouting up Taneum and saw a large bear down in creek bottom. He also talked to a "pounder" that reported seeing 4 different bear that same day (last weekend) This is in the area just past Taneum Junction, before South Fork Meadows.
